A good cheap hotel.

Inexpensive and close to food and basic shopping. Not too far from public transit. I would stay here again.

Some small bugs crawling around and a hard plastic mattress. A little bit dirty, not filthy.

Not bad for three nights stay

I'm quite satisfied with my stay because well, as a smoker myself, smoking is permitted here which is quite hard to find nowadays. Thus, you will definitely smell cigarette smoke in the hotel itself (they do provide a bin with an ashtray on top on every floor of the lift lobby), no surprises here and it's not family-friendly in a sense this way. The room was relatively neat and clean and bed was comfortable; quite a feat as a one star hotel and you get to have your private bathroom, just the bare minimum of what you require for a night's stay. The nearest bus stop is just 1 minute walk away so it's good. They do provide you with a complimentary set of toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver and two bottles of water every day so do ask at the counter. The Wi-Fi here is damn spot on, so you can watch your Netflix all while chilling with a cigarette or whatever you like to have while watching movie (be sure to bring your own HDMI cord to watch on TV because they do not provide it).

You will expect to find some insects like cockroaches hiding underneath the cabinet, like those baby ones but I see that they're trying their best to exterminate them (well, at least the adult ones didn't creep into the floor that I stayed at). The mirror in the toilet has some permanent stains on it but it's not a big issue. The view isn't that fantastic, you'll see other hotels and apartments opposite. You will have to walk quite a distance if you like to eat (they do sell food and they have a menu in the drawer - mostly chinese western but I have not tried it yet). The place feels kind of cheap but I cannot complain when they have already provided the basic necessities and for the price of a one night stay. It can be quite noisy at some points at night and in the morning but it was no biggie, people are generally considerate here. Finally, well the check-in can be slow because they operate things pretty manually so please be patient with them.

Overall it was a good experience. I’m happy.

Good wifi and excellent water pressure on the shower. Furthermore their partner restaurant offers good variety of food where we could just call and food will be delivered to our room.

The menu on the partner restaurant is obsolete. End up paying abit more than the price on the menu in the room. Also, the cleaner accidentally lost my sim card. Should be more careful during housekeeping chores.

It was enjoyable n fun..

The bed were comfy.. the television channel makes it not bored staying in the hotel.. the toilet n room were clean as expected..

So far nothing need to be comment on this..

Okay for a short stay

Facilities are a bit old but totally okay for a short stay. You won't find anything better for that price I guess.

We stayed on the 7th floor and the wifi didn't work over there. We had to go downstairs to the reception to use WIFI.

Not suitable for kids, rooms smelled of smoked cigarettes but nice and helpful staff

Allowed me to change my booking when we weren't happy about the place. They also allowed my request for early check in which was a plus. The staff are friendly and accommodating

Had to check 3 different rooms to get to one that didn't smell like cigarettes. When we got to the room that didn't, it still had some foul odour so they offered an ion generator to take it out. Also it doesn't seem to be family friendly as some couples make bookings for 3 hours. Gives you an idea of the crowd it caters to.

Very satisfied with the room clean and comfortable...and the TV is clear and air-conditioning is cool...what a peaceful and comfortable night to stay in...will come again next time..thank for compass hotel staff being caring and friendly...love it...good job... ;)

Can be more improvement for the timing to early check in...

Basic hotel rooms & too expensive for what it is

2 complimentary bottles of water each day, location close to 2 MRT stations (2 different lines, very convenient), our request for a quiet room away in a high floor was satisfied, staff is nice and polite.

Cleaning staff making the rooms after 11pm on our floor, room has not been checked/rented for a while before our arrival so there was dust and we had to take the duvet from the wardrobe and finish to make our bed we we arrived, room was smelling cigarette sooo bad we had to ask the cleaning staff (who was making the room next door at 11pm) to spray some cleaning product to cover it up a bit, bed sheets and bathroom towels were old and used (clean, but used), furniture was also pretty old (but worked properly)

While compromising a bit on the cleanliness part and traveling alone, I would not mind staying again

the staff at the reception was friendly, and ofcourse the hotel was a budget hotel, so some compromises in quality were expected. the location was close to Al-Juneid MRT station.

There were small little insects in the room and the room did not have sufficient lighting.
